Personally I feel lying is wrong but sometimes telling a lie could be the right thing depending with the situation. For example if two parents are going through a divorce, they may protect their children's feelings by withdrawing the truth from them until there are old enough to understand. Some people lie to boost other people's confidence. For example by saying, "you look nice today" when really they don't. Lying is bad as it can break other people's relationships. It can cause people to become rivals and a form of a gang culture is created, which may lead to someone getting killed. You may also get caught up by telling a lie and have no way out.
